Premium Microneedling

WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure, also known as collagen induction therapy and percutaneous collagen injection. Using precise needles, the device stimulates the replacement of surface skin cells, revealing young, glowing skin underneath.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Microneedling is done using a device that contains tiny, fine needles to puncture the skin. By plucking with the tips of these needles, the device creates a controlled area of damage at the surface level of the skin.

The body recognizes the damage, and even though it is not enough to cause scabbing or scarring, it activates the skin’s natural healing process. The body triggers the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in improved skin texture and firmness, as well as the reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.

This is an especially effective treatment for those who want to reduce the appearance of scars, wrinkles, and pores by rejuvenating the skin under and around them.

Frequently Asked Questions about Microneedling

What does Microneedling do best?

Microneedling is effective in areas that could benefit from a turnover of skin cells. Scar tissue, particularly scarring around acne, is often treated with micro needling. While it does not remove scars, the presence and comparative brightness of the fresh skin can dramatically diminish the appearance of any scars for months. The same is true for wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, sagging skin, and stretch marks.

Where on the body can micro-needling be used?

Microneedling can be performed on almost any area of skin on the body where you can experience fine lines, scarring, or unwanted stretch marks. It can treat the skin around your neck, face, and collar, in addition to your sides, arms, and legs.

Am I eligible for Microneedling?

Microneedling does not have any limitations based on skin types or tones. It’s also safe enough for even some sensitive skin types, so it’s likely that you are a good micro-needling candidate. If you are concerned about any specific problems that may prevent you from being a candidate, you can address them during your first consultation.

What will I feel when I get the treatment?

You will feel very little in most cases. The tiny needles used by the device don’t even puncture as far as a tattoo needle, so a light stinging is usually the only sensation. However, we offer a proprietary medical-grade topical numbing agent for the skin before the procedure begins. The numbing will prevent most sensations during the treatment.

Is there a recovery period?

We’ll give you some helpful information on how to protect the area that’s been treated. For example, you need to avoid touching the skin with certain chemicals and avoid the sun for at least a few days. Otherwise, the treatment is unlikely to interrupt your scheduled activities at all.

Are there side effects?

Redness and minor swelling are often reported by people who have had the treatment. However, the needles rarely even break the skin barrier when “damaging” the skin, so redness or bruising usually disappears after 48 hours.

How many treatments are needed for the best results?

The purpose of micro-needling is to induce the development of fresh collagen through the skin’s own healing process. This induction itself requires several treatments over a period of months. The treatment can be repeated after 4-6 weeks have passed since the last one. How many total treatments are required is often decided by the size of the skin area being treated.

How much does it cost?

Each treatment plan developed at our clinic is customized to the unique needs of the client. For this reason, we can only discuss final rates during the initial consultation. If you would like to know more, please contact us directly to schedule your evaluation.
